│ i think my greatest sorrow in life is not being obsessed. │
│ following one's passion seems to be the clearest path to a │
│ life well-lived. of course, this is a problem for those │
│ lacking something to dedicate themselves to. recently, │
│ i've felt dedicated to my family, focusing on supporting │
│ them, and becoming the person they want me to be. │
│ internally, this becomes an excuse for my lack of success │
│ with my career. well, one of many anyways. i don't know │
│ what will fix me, but i'll start with a new goal: │
│ │
│ be obsessed with designing and building great products │

│ i'm not sure why i think about social media so much, but │
│ it seems to be a constant thread in my mind. i use neither │
│ mastodon nor blue sky, because 1) i couldn't decide which │
│ is better for me, 2) the communities seem a bit weird (why │
│ would you call posts toots and skeets???) and 3) i'm not │
│ really all that social in the first place lol. and yet, i │
│ continue to hum and haw about which open protocol is best │
│ and which platform is worst etc. │
│ i need to stop caring somehow. │
